A Little about Myself
I have lived and worked in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, and the UK over the past 30+ years.
Through CARE Counselling Hong Kong, I built a Creative, Aspirational, Results-oriented and Enduring practice which provided individuals and couples in pain with a place in which they could safely and confidently come to experience a professional, caring and empathic counselling relationship.
At CARE Counselling Australia (based in Melbourne), I provide individuals and couples with a Conscientious, Assured, Responsible and Ethical practitioner; one who can offer clients - through therapy - an opportunity to reflect, renew, recharge, reactivate and regroup; a place and time in which to develop their own insights, awareness to move towards challenge and change; and, gain a greater understanding of how they wish to live their lives (together or separately).
Paramount to my counselling work is a positive approach towards empowering my clients to respond to stress resourcefully and to recover from painful events without undue difficulty. We work to build personal resources in order to create and maintain intimate, stable and satisfying relationships. We work together to enable you to regulate impulses and emotions, to foster adaptability and flexibility in your daily life.
It is my goal that you, the client, develop the ability to function according to a consistent and mature moral sensibility.

Being a member of these Associations requires me to undertake regular continuing professional development and undergo clinical supervision in order to ensure that the services I provide are relevant, appropriate and effective in dealing with clients' challenges and to ensure commitment to the regulatory bodies' registration requirements.
I continue to explore different modalities for working with couples and individuals; evidence and research-based approaches are key to a successful therapeutic relationship and to change for the client.
