As outlined in my Profile page, I have spent many years living and working in Australia and overseas: France, Japan, Hong Kong, the UK.

Having been employed in various capacities in international corporates in these countries and then retraining to work as a therapist with Couples and Individuals whilst living in Hong Kong, I am eminently qualified to work with

• new arrivals
• new arrivals, with new/old partners acclimatising to a new country
• adjusting to family life with/without family support
• integrating into a new culture
• adapting to and adjusting to differing cultural & societal expectations

• new cross-cultural relationships (or experiencing challenges in long-standing intimate relationships)
• young individuals arriving to study, away from home for the first time
• building resilience; accepting difference 
• clarifying own values & beliefs in face of different cultural norms 

Further, having worked with individuals and couples of many different ethnicities and nationalities, with couples marrying or setting up home outside their own culture, religion, ethnicity, those with their own mixed cultural backgrounds, I am sensitive to the limitless challenges that can ensue when working through difference within the home (or workplace).  Many of these are amplified when they arise within intimate relationships; many individuals experience challenges in these areas too.  Through individual therapy, we can explore the meaning of values & beliefs, explore differences and build - through a greater awareness and acceptance of such challenges - skills to manage better in daily life.

Having not only a culturally sensitive practice, I also provide services to members of the LGBTQ community and believe gender orientation equality to be a basic human right.

Individuals - and couples - of all orientations, ethnicities, nationalities and configurations are treated with respect and compassion.  I ensure all clients are treated with integrity and care.
